Good product; just try not to overpay for it!!, September 26, 2013

While I believe this is a good product, I also believe it is expensive for the incredibly small amount of product in the bottle! Then again, a similar (and maybe even better?) brand (Bare Minerals “PRIME TIME Foundation Primer”) is also expensive. The Bare Minerals version is sold in 1 oz. pump bottles for approximately $20 at many retailers, making it almost twice the cost of the e.l.f. brand, which by the way comes in about a .49 oz. size bottle.

The product definitely leaves skin softer and smoother for make-up application, and I heartily recommend it, but try to wait for a lower price ($3.75 or less per .49 oz. bottle). Otherwise, like many other make-up products, including e.l.f. brand, it is costly!

Also, the product is actually quite clear (even transparent?) when applied to your face. Don’t understand why it is titled “brightening lavender!” E.L.F. also offers this product in a “clear” color version at an identical or similar price.

I used other primers in the past, but never tried the lavender color one. It spreads nicely, feels like a good primer. I used it about 4-5 days now and it didn’t irritate my skin like other primers have in the past – eg, Mary Kay’s(I have avg skin, not too sensitive). I cannot say I see a big difference in how my skin looks. The worst disappointment was that the tube that is attached to the pump seems broken, it’s maybe only 1/4 inch long so you have to turn the bottle upside down to pump anything out. I hate the idea that I may waste some of the product because I cannot get to it, or i will have to take it out with q-tips. I was too busy to return it, just started using it, but I would probably not buy the same thing again online. Overall seems like a good value for the money, something equivalent at sephora’s cost 3-4 times as much.

I love this stuff. My skin tends to be dry. Even still, I only need about a pea size amount. If to much is used, it balls up and falls off.
It goes on soft and smooth, and drys fast. My powder based make-up looks freshly applied all day.

Not for Oily Skin!, December 27, 2010
    By

This review is from: Palladio Herbal Foundation Primer, 0.674 Ounce (Misc.)
I bought this because I was told it was great for oily t zone areas. I usually have to blot my makeup every 2 to 3 hours. I still have to and I have been using this product for 3 days now. It does have a nice silky feeling to it though. Just didnt work out for me 🙁 Can anyone recommend any type of primer for oily skin???

Very good primer. Was always on the lookout for a primer like smash box but not as expensive and this one is a very close match.
